Leaders of Rwabitoke Primary School in Muhokya Sub-County of Busongora County South in Kasese District have asked the government of Uganda to construct more classrooms at the institution of learning in order to accommodate all the pupils and smoothen the teaching and learning processes.
Mr. Apollo Balyebuga, the School’s Head teacher says they only have four permanent classrooms instead of seven that accommodate over 345 learners.
Mr. Balyebuga narrated that his team has always improvised to create more space through partitioning one classroom into two but despite their efforts, the classrooms have remained insufficient and inconveniencing.
According to him, the rest of the lessons are conducted inside Rwabitoke Church of Uganda when it free. He says the situation becomes worse during the rainy season.
The Head teacher also decries the challenge of some parents being not co-operative and failure by them to meet the school dues that they personally agree upon.
The challenge has also stalled the progress of the two-classroom block that is under construction.
Mr. Balyibuga further observes the need for the government to construct staff quarters to cater for the teachers who trek long distances since the school is hard -to – reach.
