Joel Kaguta was born on February 12, 1987. He is the Programmes Director for South Rwenzori Messiah Radio. He replaced Kabugho Florence, the current Woman Member of Parliament for Kasese District in 2017. He hails from Mahango village, Mahango Parish and Mahango sub county and he is married to Janet Kabugho. He went to Mahango primary school before joining Mahango Seed Secondary School for O level in 2005. He attended his A level education from Kasese High School.
Kaguta holds a National Diploma of Journalism from Liberty College of Management and Journalism and a bachelor of Journalism and Communication from Uganda Pentecostal University.
Before joining Messiah Radio, Kaguta started his own local broadcasting system in his home village and this inspired him to advance his journalism to another level. In April 2019, Kaguta trained in Radio and Television Production at Media Challenge Initiative in Kansanga, a Kampala suburb.

He developed passion for Radio since his primary three in 1999 while at Kibumbi Primary School in his home district.
His dream came true after receiving a certificate and subsequently a diploma in Journalism from Mbarara Institute for social development between 2009 and 2013.
Matia started as a trainee at Ngeya Fm UBC-Kasese before he was retained as a news reporter in 2014 and later became a presenter for Love program and the hot music mix program. He is also a sound editor and a political talk show host.

Jerome Kule Bitswande is a Kasese-born Ugandan journalist. Bitswande prefers to call himself a common-man’s scribe. He boasts of a varied experience in journalism attained in a series of media houses.
The Real Life Show host and Assistant News Editor at South Rwenzori Messiah is previously the Pioneer Bureau Chief –Rwenzururu for news agency Uganda Radio Network (URN) where he was exposed to web-journalism.
