Preparations aimed at celebrating the recent victory of the NRM party in the 2026 General Elections are in high gear with a call on the party members to embrace the event.
The celebrations slated for March 21, 2026 at the Booma Grounds in Kasese Municipality are meant to return thanks to God for the recent victory is expected to be graced by the party General Secretary, the Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong among other invited guests.
During the recently concluded elections, the NRM party in Kasese District secured all the six parliamentary positions and the District Chairpersonship which were once taken over by the opposition FDC party in 2016.
Moses Bwambale, the Chairperson for the NRM Changed Youth in-charge of the Rwenzori Sub-region, told the press today in a briefing that was held in Kasese town that they were moving on smoothly with the arrangements and hailed the residents for entrusting the ruling party with the power to lead the electorate in the recently concluded 2026 General Elections.
Kenneth Muhindo, the Programs Coordinator, reported that all the invited guests had confirmed the attendance.
He therefore urged the MRM party cadres in the district and the Rwenzori Sub-region at large to mobilize for the event prior to its happening.
Longino Mukusa, one of the NRM cadres, appreciated the youth for organizing such a function that he said would send a signal to the country that the people of Kasese were having a positive attitude towards the ruling NRM party.
