Market vendors in Kitoro Cell of Nyamwamba Division in Kasese Municipality have received a 400 – liter water harvesting tank from Pride Bank with an aim of improving their health and sanitation.
The development was confirmed yesterday afternoon by Mr. Francis Onyango, the Manager at Pride Bank – Kasese Branch during the delivery of the donation at Kitoro Market.
Onyango revealed that as a financial institution, they care about the health and well being of their customers as one way of keeping them energetic so that they are enabled to carry out their daily duties while they are safe.
He used the same platform to advise women to utilize some loan privileges offered by the bank purposely to improve on their economic statuses and get out of poverty.
Isaiah Thembo, the Kitoro Cell Chairperson advised the market community to properly utilize the donated tank.
He revealed that the water harvesting tank was one of the few things that he promised to lobby to the market vendors.
