One person has reportedly lost his leg in an accident that occurred today afternoon in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha Town Council, Bukonzo County West in Kasese District.
The victim has been identified as Jackson Mumbere who is in his 30s and a resident in the urban centre who was allegedly knocked by a trailer.
Some of the residents who rushed to the scene to rush the victim to the hospital described the accident as fatal though Messiah Radio can independently verify.
The area Constituency Boda- Boda Riders’ Association Defense Secretary, only known as Mr. Mikidadi says the accident was as a result of the jam that is currently witnessed along the Mpondwe – Customs Road heading to the border of Uganda and DRC.
According to Mikidadi, the urban centre has been experiencing for the last two weeks and no action aimed at eradicating it has been done.
