The Rwenzururu King (Omusinga) Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma is expected to land back in his Kingdom on March 27, 2026 after a good number of months when he has been away.
Last year, the Government of Uganda took the Omusinga to Turkey to for specialized treatment. He has since returned and is currently staying in his Kampala based palace.
Yesterday afternoon, the Kingdom’s officials held a press conference at Virina Gardens in Kasese Town and made an official confirmation about the Omusinga’s homecoming.
Rt. Hon. Juliet Best Bakoko, the 2nd Deputy Prime Minister of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu who also doubles as the Minister of Gender, Rehabilitation and Disability Affairs called upon the entire Kingdom subjects to turn up and warmly welcome the King back in his Kingdom after a long vacation.
She observed the need for all the religious, cultural, political and security leaders to cooperate as they welcome back the King in his Kingdom.
She reminded the subjects about the need to uphold the five pillars of the Kingdom.
