Mr. Patrick Thembo Nyamunungu has officially declared his interest to vie for the Kasese Municipality Mayoral seat in the forthcoming NRM party primary elections ahead of the 2026 General Elections.
Nyamunungu made the official declaration last evening while addressing the press at Virina Gardens in Kasese town.
He stressed that if given the mandate, he would work towards connecting Kasese Municipality to the Central Government for improved service delivery.
Nyamunungu, a former Minister of Information, Mobilization and Publicity in the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu says much of his emphasis would be put on advocating for Kilembe Mines Hospital and Kilembe Mines Limited to be revamped fully so that they help to boost the health services and create jobs to over 3,000 people respectively.
He also adds that he would work towards the improvement of road network, drainage master plan, safe and clean drinking water, settling land disputes among others.
Messiah Radio is reliably informed that Nyamunungu is likely to tussle it out with Girivazio Monday Bwambale, Johnson Kamalha Kalyasa, Boneface Kule aka Bonex and the current Kasese District Deputy Speaker, Hon. Jolly Masika Kateeba among others in the NRM primary elections.
