Kasese District Local Government has recruited a new District Health Officer (D.H.O) filling the gap created by Dr. Yusuf Baseke who recently retired from Civil Service.
According to the notice of appointed signed by Mr. Joshua Miramagho, the Secretary to the District Service Commission, the newly appointed D.H.O is Mr. Amon Bwambale, the former Principal Medical Officer for Busia Local Government.
Mr. Bwambale has been appointed on transfer of service from Busia to Kasese District Local Government after successfully going through interviews and meeting the requirements for the job.
The Kasese District Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Elias Byamungu told Messiah Radio today afternoon that he issued an appointment letter to Mr. Bwambale yesterday after getting recommendations from the District Service Commission.
He, however, stressed that the appointee has not yet reported to receive job instructions.
Mr. Lawrence Tiruganya, the Chairperson for the District Service Commission, told the press at his office that jobs are freely given to the applicants who qualify for them basing on their levels of education and their ability to express themselves.
