He emphasized the need for the community to support the district in the construction of the road is being executed under force account.

Kasese District Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Eriab Ntarwete Begumya noted that the improved road network would help the farmers to transport their agricultural produce and other goods to the market centres at minimal fares.

However, Mr. Begumya stressed that there was no compensation for whomever the road will affect.

Kasese District Vice Chairperson, Mr. Ham Natuhwera  directed the engineering department to stick to the approved road design during the construction.

Mr. Natuhwera also cautioned the local population against the practice of making economic activities like brick making and sand mining along the road reserves since they affect the life span of the road infrastructure.
