Mr. Johnson Mayora, the Kasese District Council Speaker, has been dully nominated for the position of District Chairperson by the NRM Party Electoral Commission Chairperson, Dr. Tanga Odoi to participate in the primary elections.
Mr. Mayora who was nominated yesterday arrived in the district today afternoon at Rwimi Bridge and was welcomed by a section of voters who were in a convoy.
Speaking in a jovial mood, Mayora called for peace and unity among the electorate in an attempt for the district to realize development.
He told the people that he has a vision for the district and pledged to prioritize peace and unity for development. Mayora also said he would improve service delivery if elected to be at the helm of the district.
Mayora revealed that basing on the terrain of Kasese district; he would give a special consideration to the roads located in the hard to reach areas so that they are improved for the services to reach the people with ease.
He strongly vowed to curb down the issue of the alleged sale of jobs which according to him has become a public outcry of the residents.
In a related development, Mr. Edmand Bwambale who is vying for the position of L. C III Chairperson for Isango Sub-county has been dully nominated by the NRM Office in Kasese district.
Speaking to Messiah Radio shortly after being nominated, Bwambale pledged that his focus would be on extending piped water in the sub-county and strengthening educating through advocating for a government grant –aided secondary school in the area.
