Dr. Chrispus Kiyonga, the Bukonzo County West Member of Parliament -elect in Kasese district has applauded the secondary schools and the students for excelling in the 2025 examinations both at ordinary and advanced levels.
According to him, the best performing schools lift the name of the district higher.
He, however, appealed to the schools that didn’t make it to employ other means of making the learners perform better in the subsequent examinations.
Dr. Kiyonga noted that despite the recent excellence of learners, urban based schools challenged the rural based ones, a reason why he suggested that the schools that didn’t perform well should spare some time and visit the best performing ones in order to buy a leaf from them.
He lectured the parents to embrace the major pillars that facilitate the good performance of students including providing midday meals to them and motivating the teachers to fully perform their responsibilities.
Dr. Kiyonga suggested to the parents to always develop a positive attitude towards their children’s education, guide and mentor them to develop a passion of being in school until they complete their studies.
