The Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese has directed all heads of the Anglican Church of Uganda founded institutions especially schools to shun away from receiving donating from unauthorized sources.
Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku says he has noted with concern the emergence of organizations that disguise as donors of relief items to the vulnerable and underprivileged people but with intent to use them as a trap for scamming the population.
It is upon this background that the Prelate appeals to heads of institutions to always first seek his endorsement before allowing such actors to carry out their activities.
TheBishop made the directive following reports of alleged scam by online fraudsters who were operating under their group website dubbed Hut 8.
He cautioned the population against transacting with unknown groups whose missions and motives are yet to be established.
