Big Heart Foundation for Skills Development distributes more training materials to skills’ centers in Kasese Municipality

In a bid to supplement the government’s program of giving employable skills to the citizens, Big Heart Foundation for Skills Development has procured more training materials and subsequently delivered them to its established skills’ centres in Kasese Municipality.

The training materials most especially for hairdressing and salon management, tailoring and garment cutting among others were delivered yesterday to the different skills centres including the Central Baptist Church in Nyamwamba Division, Kikonzo, Kidodo, Kirembe and Katadoba in the Central Division by a delegation from the organization led by Mrs. Best Kambale who is a board member.

While handing over the materials to the beneficiaries, Best Kambale, who hailed the learners for accepting to be trained, however, encouraged them to be focused and utilize the opportunity to acquire skills that they would use to earn a living.

She appealed to the learners to always exhibit good discipline, embrace love and unity as some of the factors leading to success.

Mr. Medard Muramuzi, the Coordinator for the Skills’ Centres told the beneficiaries to be committed to their various courses so that they acquire the relevant skills needed for job creation ahead of their graduation ceremony in July this year after six months of training.

Some of the beneficiaries including Victor Masereka and Zawadi Biira from Kikonzo skills’ centre, Hellen Salome from Kidodo skills’ centre and Immaculate Musoki from Kirembe skills’ centre among others testified that they have started earning money from the skills so far acquired from the training.
