A donors’ conference meant to solicit shillings 2 billion to complete the construction works of Kasese Community Medical Centre in Kasese town has been postponed until further notice.

Originally slated for tomorrow, the donors’ conference which was being organized by Kasese Community Health and Education Foundation (KCHEF) has been postponed because of the commitments of the invited Guests including President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who was expected to officiate over the function.

Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga Kime, the State Minister for ICT and National Guidance, who also doubles as the Chairperson for the Organizing Committee for the donors’ conference, says they will announce a new date when the invited Guests confirm with them.

He, however, adds that they are still welcoming contributions from well-wishers to have the project completed.

The Minister hailed Bishop Zebedee Kahangwa Masereka for being a development oriented person especially for fighting for the lives of the citizens.

On his part, Bishop Masereka, the founder of Kasese Community Health and Education Foundation told the press at Shiloh Gardens last evening that their vision is to construct a spacious medical facility in Kasese town.

According to him, the current facility accommodates 17 beds, adding that once completed, the new building would accommodate 60 beds.
