Kilembe Mines Golf Club has yet again been filled with mammoth crowds of ecstatic Rwenzururu Kingdom subjects who had joined their king to celebrate his 58th ascension to the throne.
As the others gulped traditional liquor, some were dancing and singing to traditional folklore accompanied by the melodious sounds of the traditional xylophone.
They braved the scorching sun until at around 1’oclock when finally the Rwenzururu leader arrived, carried on a moulded wooden boat clad in his royal cloth as he majestically waved to his loyal subjects who had moved from as far as Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and as wide as Kassanda in central Uganda.
Many continued to profess their unwavering commitment to the cultural institution which was only recognized fifteen years ago reiterating that they are confident that the institution embodies the very values and norms of the Bakonzo people that they are proud to be.
Mr. Wilson Kithamuliko from Kabatunda-Kirabaho Town Council expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the king and urged him to embark on collaborative and strategic partnerships that will foster development within the cultural institution.
Mr. Johnson Kule from Bundibugyo says the cultural institution should consider also celebrating the coronation anniversary in other parts of the country where the kings loyal subjects are also habituated.
Meanwhile Mr Rogger Kathembo from the Democratic Republic of Congo also congratulated the Omusinga upon the 58th coronation anniversary and also invited him to consider paying a visit to the Banande community in Eastern DRC.
