Kasese Sec. School receives a new Head teacher

Mr. Joseph Nzukwa who has been the Head teacher at Kuruhe High School in Kitswamba Town Council has officially assumed office as the new Head teacher for Kasese Secondary School in Kasese Municipality.

Mr. Nzukwa, who assumed office yesterday, replaced Mr. Augustine M. Muserero who has retired from public service after clocking the mandatory retirement age of 60.

Before his retirement, Mr. Muserero had served Kasese Secondary School for a period of eight years.

In his handover report to his successor, Mr. Muserero highlighted a number of achievements that the institution has been able to achieve during his tenure.

He stressed that he had struggled to convince the Ministry of Education and Sports to promote teachers and recruit more others into positions where the school was lacking personnel in addition to prioritizing students’ academic standards, sports, debates, chaplaincy and agricultural activities in the school.

Speaking in a jovial mood shortly after assuming office, Mr. Nzukwa, who had come along with a philosophy,  “The New Journey,” pledged to build on the already established strategies in ensuring that he accomplishes the tasks that he has been assigned.

He also said he would work with all the stakeholders in the struggle to achieve the school’s mission and vision with God being his helper.

He also urged his fellow staff members to observe the professional codes of conduct as one of the prominent keys that would enable them work towards realizing progress of the learners.

Rev. Fr. (Msgr.) Landus Bwambale, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Kasese, who also doubles as the Chairperson Board of Governors of the school, applauded the former Head teacher for dedicating his time to service during his regime, adding that he was a good mobiliser for staff to work together.

 He also thanked the government of Uganda for providing an enabling environment associated with peace, tranquility and security where church founded facilities also register progress in the country.

Ms. Jacklyn Kabugho, the Inspector of Schools for Kasese Municipality congratulated the new Head teacher upon his new role in service, asking him to always work closely with their office while lobbying for more projects to benefit the institution.
