The Rwenzururu King (Omusinga) Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma has encouraged the business people to always invest in their homelands for the development of their home towns and cities.
The Omusinga sounded the encouragement today afternoon while addressing a delegation from the Rwenzori International Mining Company that had a paid a courtesy visit to his Kamaiba based Palace in Kasese town.
The Omusinga, who implored the business people to think of developing their own areas, noted that some mining activities lead to the development of social services like schools, hospitals, international airports, good roads and markets among others.
The Rwenzururu Cultural leader, however, warned the proprietors of businesses and other companies against the practice of developing corrupt minds.
He instead challenged them to be faithful and set aside some funds that they would use to give back to the community under Corporate Social Responsibility and employing the locals for the development of the communities that they come from.
Mr. Maulidi Baluku Mulima, the Chairperson Board of Directors for Rwenzori International Mining Company who led the delegation said he was impressed by the Omusinga’s piece of advice to them.
According to him, they would establish other income generating activities to support their mining company so that it gets enough resources to support the cultural institution and her subjects.
