A delegation of officials from Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu today held a meeting with a number of stakeholders from Bukonzo County East in preparation for the Omusinga visit to the constituency on November 25, 2023.
Led by the acting Prime Minister for the Cultural Institution, Mr. Selevest Masereka, the team met the Head teachers of both Primary and Secondary Schools, Religious leaders, Local leaders, Sub-county and Native Chiefs, Heads of SACCOs, Hotel owners, Chairpersons of Boda-boda groups, Taxi operators and Managers of Community Based organizations at Kisinga Town Council Headquarters.
In his address to the gathering, Mr. Masereka explained that as a Cultural Institution, they were determined to promoting five pillars including unity and mindset change among others as they rebrand the Kingdom.
Mr. Ericana Baluku Ndyoka, the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Minister for Culture and Tourism, said they were in the process of sensitizing the masses right away from family levels about the goodness of the cultural institution.
He called upon all the Rwenzururu subjects to plant more trees on the bear hills as way of mitigating the effects of climate change and prevent the snows from receding.
At the meeting, the stakeholders selected a committee led by Mr. Eria Kahulebe and deputized by Dominic Kambere to help in organizing for the visit of the Omusinga in the area.
