Security operatives support the 3rd edition of Kyakere Carnival 2026

Security in Kasese District has confirmed that adequate measures will be put in place for the 3rd edition of the Kyakere Carnival slated for October 18, 2026.  

According to the organizers, the Carnival has been organized to usher in the 60th coronation anniversary of the Rwenzururu King, Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma.

Speaking to journalists during a function in which the organizers were unveiling a motorcycle that is expected to be a prize for the luck winner among the people who will buy tickets for the 2026 edition of the Kyakere Carnival at the Bajaj Sales Service Kasese town, ASP Elly Maate, the Rwenzori East Regional Police Spokesperson, said the organizers fulfilled all the required security procedures.

He assured the general public that the police would provide enough security to ensure that the event becomes successful.  

Mr. Bonny Munihizi, the Chief Executive Officer of Bajaj Sales and Service Centre – Kasese announced that his company had partnered with the organizers of the Kyakere Carnival, confirming that a motorcycle was available and would be given to a lucky winner among the people who would buy tickets for the 2026 edition.

Mr. Dowin Muhyana, the Director of Tulio Audio and official organizer of the Kyakere Carnival, while unveiling the prize, called upon the residents of Kasese and neighboring districts to buy as many tickets as possible.  

He explained that the more tickets that someone buys, the higher chances of winning the motorcycle.
