FDC’s Juvenal Muke, Eliza Mbusa defect to NRM

Some senior political leaders belonging to the opposition political parties in Kyondo sub-county have today defected to the ruling National Resistance Movement-NRM.

The new converts include former Kyondo sub-county chairperson Mr Juvenal Muke who for two terms was the sub-county political boss on the Forum for Democratic Change-FDC ticket.

Prior to that, Muke had also served as the district councillor representing Kyondo on the same FDC ticket for another two political terms.

Other members who have joined the ruling party are Eliza Mbusa who was also district councillor for three terms on the FDC ticket, and Mr Ezroni Mulemba formerly of the People’s Front for Freedom.

Mr Muke confirmed the development and said he had indeed converted to the ruling party; but promised to give us details that informed his new decision.

The new NRM party entrants were received by Bukonzo County East Member of Parliament Dr Julius Rude Monday Bwambale who also doubles as the NRM constituency chairperson at Kanyenze village in Kyondo sub-county.

During the event, Hon. Dr. Rude congratulated the new members for making the decision to join the NRM, describing their move as a positive step towards unity, peace, and community development. ENDS.
