Residents respond to fire outbreak in Kasese town

The Business community near Gaz Petrol Station in Kasese Town today afternoon quickly responded to fire outbreak that had originated from vehicle, preventing major damages.

The vehicle UAH 759F, a dark blue pickup which was under maintenance caught fire, prompting immediate action from the community members who used a fire extinguisher at Gaz Petrol Station to put off the fire.

The incident becomes the second in the area in a period of one month.

The community members have since urged the authorities at Kasese Municipal Council to put in place fire extinguishers and trained personnel to handle the future emergencies.

By press time, the police had not yet officially issued out a comment about the matter.
