Bishop Baluku advises Christians to plan for their pieces of land

BY MATHIUS KAHUNGU

Christians in South Rwenzori Diocese have been advised to properly plan for their pieces of land and utilize them productively in order to generate income and improve their livelihoods.

The advice was sounded yesterday by the Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rt. Nason Baluku while reacting to a report that was read to him by Ve. Anasanairi Masereka Mutsumbiri, the Archdeacon of Kisinga Archdeaconry.

In the report, Ven. Mutsumbiri decried the shortage of land, saying it was among the factors leading high poverty levels among the Christians.

In his response, Bishop Baluku said despite the general challenge of shortage of land in Kasese district, the residents need to properly plan for the little that they have and use it properly through establishing some small-scale projects that would see their income increased.

In a separate development, the Prelate implored Christians to own and take proper care of the church projects.
