The South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has cautioned the Christians against retaliation (revenge) and hypocrisy (pretence).
The Prelate sounded the caution today afternoon while preaching to the congregation that had thronged St. John’s Kisinga Church of Uganda Parish, the headquarters of Kisinga Archdeaconry.
Bishop Baluku explained that some Christians especially the couples have sometimes resorted to engaging themselves in adultery as a sign of revenge to their partners who also do the same.
He condemned such acts and instead asked them to embrace reconciliation as a means of restoring their relationships and sustain their families.
Quoting the Biblical Book of Revelations 3:1-6 and 14-22, the Bishop asked the Christians to be watchful and wise enough to detect the devil’s tactics and devise means of escaping temptations.
In is report presented to the Bishop, Ven. Anasanairi Mutsumbiri, the Archdeacon for Kisinga Archdeaconry, revealed that they had registered successes in stabilizing some Christians’ families through organizing couples’ seminars.
The Bishopconfirmed 192 Christians into the Anglican faith with a call on them to stop pretending but instead dedicate themselves to the Lord fully.
