The retired Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Jackson Thembo Nzerebende has observed the need for resilience among all employees as their executive their duties.
The Prelate made the observation yesterday while leading a special devotion prior to the mini-opening of a new building at Kasese Community Medical Centre in Kasese Municipality.
Expounding on the theme, “Ebenezer,” meaning the far the Lord has helped us, as scripted from the Biblical Book of 1 Sam 7: 12, the Bishop explained that God appointed Nehemiah to re-build Jerusalem and the destroyed temple.
He therefor appealed to the workers to mind about recognizing their emotions, building strong support networks, developing stronger coping strategies and being flexible and open to change.
He added that due to the miraculous transition or achievements and upgrading of the services at Kasese Community Medical Centre, there was a reason why this community needed to be jubilant and give thanks back to God for the new magnificent building.
In his remarks, Bishop Zebedee Kahangwa Masereka, the founder of Kasese Community Medical Centre called for intact and hard-working staff to cause a positive transition and accelerate the level of health services.
He noted that despite having better machines, they would still add more for the benefit of the community members.
Veronica Ndagano, the Executive Director at Kasese Community Health and Education Foundation (KCHEF), said as an umbrella organization that oversees the operations of the health facility, they would ensure motivating staff so that they meet the clients’ expectations.
