South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop encourages the public to utilize schools within the district

Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku, the Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese has reiterated the need for the people of Kasese district to utilize the existing educational institutions of learning within the Local Government.

The Bishop repeated the remarks yesterday while addressing the Congregation that had thronged All Saints Kanyatsi Church of Uganda Parish for a confirmation service. 

The Prelate observed the need for the parents to prioritize the idea of enrolling their children in schools within the district for them to develop as well as saving the parents from overspending and relieving learners from travelling long distances.

The Man of God implored the parents to always consider taking their children to church founded schools which according to him instill both educational and spiritual values in the learners.

In a separate development, the communities of Isango in Kithoma – Kanyatsi Town Council and Bulemera in Kitholhu sub-county applauded the Bishop for his continuous support towards the development of South Rwenzori Diocese Paddy Kabagambe Community Memorial Health Centre III.

The health facility which was officially reopened on May 02, this year has since registered success.

Ms Jovet Masika, a midwife at the facility and Joel Kambere, an in-charge revealed that at least three expectant mothers have delivered from the health centre while several in-patients have been worked upon.

In response, Bishop Baluku pledged shillings 2 million to facilitate the construction of a well improved permanent pit latrine at the facility in addition to 5 beds and shillings 2 million he had earlier donated to procure drugs. ENDS
