Mothers asked to embrace taking children for immunization

Mrs. Fatuma Kathembo Kamama, the Kasese District Woman Parliamentary hopeful has asked mothers to always embrace taking their children for immunization as an alternative measure to prevent diseases.

Mrs. Kathembo sounded the remarks today afternoon at her birthday celebration that was held at Katwe Health Centre III in Katwe – Kabatoro Town Council, Busongora County South.

She explained that she decided to celebrate her birthday day in still with the mothers in the area where she gifted them with basins, children’s pumpers and other parenting items.

Mrs. Kathembo told the mothers that immunization was crucial for strengthening the children’s immunity system and protecting them from acquiring serious diseases as well as contributing to their overall well-being.

According to her, vaccines also help to prevent complications including lameness, blindness and death coupled with helping families and communities reduce the burden of increased costs on medical care and treatment.

She also used the same platform to implore the parents to enroll their children in schools in an attempt to attain formal education and skills as a tool to enhance their family developments.

Ms. Annet Kakuliramu and Sarah Kisembo, some of the mothers who attended the celebrations and benefited from the donation, appreciated the Mrs. Kathembo for her decision to celebrate with them, appealing to the rest of the leaders to always get time and interact with the community members that they lead.
