Political leaders in Kasese district have been called upon to embrace some sports activities as an alternative way of creating enough leisure time to the youth and developing their talents.
The call was sounded yesterday by Mr. Samson Kidima, the Sports and Education Coordinator for Madaraka Cares in Nyamwamba Division while speaking to the press at Nyakasanga Playground during the first edition of the organization’s tournament.
Mr. Kidima also said sports curtail the youth from joining bad groups since it creates enough leisure time for them to watch the activities involved.
Mr. Douglas Yofesi Saturday Madaraka, the Executive Director, appreciated the youth for embracing the tournament and urged to interact and share experiences for development.
Madaraka observed the need to put in more efforts in talent development so that they are exposed to other regions.
