The police in Kasese district are holding a 27- year-old woman for allegedly attempting to murder her own husband.
The Rwenzori East Regional Police Spokesperson, SP Nelson Tumushime has confirmed the development to Messiah Radio and indentified the suspect Marius Kabugho, a resident of Nyakasanga, Nyamwamba Division in Kasese Municipality who according to him pierced her husband, Octovia Baluku, a 32- year- old resident in the same area.
SP Tumushime said after developing a quarrel at their home last night, Kabugho pierced her husband in the abdomen and was immediately rushed to Canopus Medical Centre for treatment while the suspect was apprehended and detained at Kasese Central Police Station.
The Regional Police Mouthpiece also revealed that they were still investigating a case involving a 4-year-old boy who was stolen by the yet to be known person.
According to him, after the incident, the concerned residents reported the matter to police that immediately swung into action to trace for whereabouts of the suspect.
Tumushime told our reporter that when the suspect realized that police was following him, he allegedly abandoned the child and went into hiding.
He was happy that the child was handed back to his parents in good health conditions.
