We won’t tolerate whoever would intimidate Kasese LCV Chairperson, RDC says

Kasese Deputy RDC in-charge of Bukonzo County has implored the residents to join the campaign against corruption in both government and privately owned companies.  

Lt. Maate Magwara sounded the remarks yesterday while addressing five groups of Radio Listeners in Mahango Sub-county. The groups included listeners of South Rwenzori Messiah Radio, Kasese Guide Radio, UBC Ngeya F.M, Light F.M and Raso F.M.

 The function was held at Kaburara Trading Centre in Kyabwenge Parish.

Lt. Magwara, who hailed the District Chairperson, Mr. Eliphaz Muhindi Bukombi for championing the fight against corruption from some sectors of government, asked the community members to render him the necessary support in order to have a corruption – free society.

According to him, corruption tendencies endanger development and the distribution of equitable services to the society. 

Earlier in his remarks, the Kasese District Chairperson who was among the guests at the function gad told the gathering that some people had started fighting him because of depriving them of the opportunity to swindle the tax payers’ money.

He categorically put it clear that the current fights in the district council were being fueled by people he said have selfish interests against him.

He vowed to continue disclosing people who would attempt to promote corruption in the district.
