Rev. Fr. Alfred Masereka, the Parish priest for Katwe parish in Diocese of Kasese has asked Christians to embark on climate change mitigation measures.

Presiding over mass at Katwe parish today, the church minister noted the process would help people to understand and tackle the consequences of global warming in addition to curbing various climatic changes that have escalated due to lack measures that promote environmental conservation.

He added that once climatic changes are mitigated, it will also help in preserving natural habitats and ecosystems, promoting resilience to climate change.

Delivering the message of Rt Rev Francis Aquirinus Kibira, the bishop of the diocese of Kasese, Rev. Fr. Anyasio Mbusa the director Caritas-Kasese urged Christians to always stand firm amidst the challenges they incur in lives.
