Residents of Kighenge Trading Centre in Kitabu Sub-county, Kasese district have been encouraged to embrace and support government programs in an attempt to eradicate poverty from their families.
The encouragement was sounded last evening by Mr. Henry Kabiriri, the Kasese District Assistant RDC in-charge of Busongora County while addressing a section of NRM party supporters at Keza Guest House.
Kabiriri lectured the party subscribers that President Museveni initiated the Parish Development Model as a way of eradicating poverty from poor citizens.
He subsequently discouraged the program beneficiaries from the act of misusing the received money, threatening to deal with the culprits.
Mr. Kefa Mbusa Kahande, the Chairperson for Safi Mobilisers Rwenzori, revealed that as NRM supporters in Kitabu Sub-county, they have come up with a joint voice aimed at benefiting from government programs.
Mr. Wilson Wele, the Chairperson for Kighenge Trading Centre hailed the ruling NRM party for her consorted efforts towards initiating pro-people programs.
