A section of Priests, Lay readers and Evangelists attached to South Rwenzori Diocese today held a significant Road Ministry from Rwimi Bridge to Mpondwe border point in Kasese district.
According to Rev. Can. Nelson Walina, the Diocesan Secretary, the purpose of the Road Ministry was to intercede to God for the numerous road accidents that have continuously claimed the lives of people.
He also highlighted that the Road Ministry was meant to seek divine protection for the road users, emphasizing the need for prayers along the roads as a way of combating the forces of darkness that might be influencing the high rate of accidents.
Rev. William Muhindo Musisi, the South Rwenzori Diocesan Director of Mission and Evangelism, reaffirmed the church’s dedication towards ensuring the safety of God’s people.
The Man of God urged believers in Christ to consistently pray for the protection of road users.
