Mr. Epafura elected as the new Chairperson Board of Directors for Nzirambi Orphans Talent Development Centre (NOTDEC) in Kasese

Mr. Epafura Masereka, a renowned businessman in Kasese district has been elected as the new Chairperson Board of Directors for Nzirambi Orphans Talent Development Centre (NOTDEC), a development arm of South Rwenzori Diocese, replacing Mr. Yosamu Muhindo.

The appointment of Mr. Masereka was announced today afternoon by Rev. Can. Jospehat Bwalhuma, the Overseer at NOTDEC who also doubles as the South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop’s Commissary at a handover ceremony that was held at the centre’s premises in Kabirizi village, Lake Katwe Sub-county in Kasese district.

Can. Bwalhuma, who appreciated the great work done by the institution, urged the new leadership to maintain the relationship between the organization’s leadership and the funders in ensuring the smooth running of all the centre’s programs.

Dorothy Komusana Nzirambi, the Project Founder commended the leaders and administrators for the proper implementation of the project.

In his handover report, Mr. Yosamu Muhindo, the outgoing Board Chairperson indicated that the centre was currently taking care of 175 children of whom 08 are on save life babies project, 52 are on site, and 115 are children in the community but under the support of the centre.

In his maiden speech, the incoming Board Chairperson, who described the appointment as a surprise, noted that he would follow all the institution’s plans so as to cause more development at the center.
