Roman Catholic Priest disappointed with Central Division Council over failure to control running waters

BY ZALIMON BASIGHALHA (GOOD LUCK)

A Roman Catholic Church Minister attached to the Diocese of Kasese says he is disappointed with Kasese Municipal Council Planners over the alleged failure to control the running water that pours its debris in Kidodo cell.

Rev. Fr. Richard Sausi Businge, a Priest attacked to Kidodo Pastoral Centre explains that despite constructing goods roads in the Town Centre under the USMID programme, all the water that is collected by those roads pour their debris in Kidodo Cell, hence paralyzing business and destroying the road network in the area.

He, however, appreciates Kasese Municipal Council leadership for implementing the USMID projects funds as expected, apart from the challenge of uncontrolled running water in Kidodo.

To his further disappointment, the Church Minister claims that even the culverts installed along the roads in Kidodo have been blocked by debris, appealing to the Central Division leadership to set aside some funds to faciliate the residents work on the blocked culverts.

He sounded the remarks yesterday while leading a mass that also involved the swearing in of the new Guild Council Members at St. Leo’s College of Science and Technology.

By press time, an effort to get a comment from the concerned Municipal Officials was futile.
