The local authorities together with police in Kisinga Town Council are hunting for nine suspects who last night escaped from the cells and ran away to yet unknown destinations.
The Town Council Chairperson, Mr. Doviko Thembo confirmed the development to Messiah Radio and said some one of the suspects could have been put in cells with unidentified small hand saw machine that they used to break the door of the cells at night.
Thembo also suspected that one of the relatives of the suspects could have brought food in basket to them with a private arrangement of bringing the machine to help them break the door.
According to the Town Council Boss, one of the suspects was a mechanic from Kiburara trading centre and they believe he could be the one who plotted the plan of escaping at night.
He has since implored the Local Council I Chairperson s in Kisinga Town Council, Kisinga and Kyondo Sub-counties among others to cooperate with police in ensuring that the suspected are rearrested.
He, however, lashed at the police for allegedly not being serious on carrying out operations, wondering how the nine suspects could have struggled to demolish the door yet some of the officers have their rooms on the building that hosts the cells.
