Rev. Enock Manimake, the Vicar at Busara Anglican Church of Uganda in Mahango Archdeaconry, South Rwenzori Diocese has called for the intervention of the Bishop’s Office in pushing for enrolment of Busara High Hills Secondary School as a government – grant aided institution of learning.
The Parish Vicar sounded the request yesterday while presenting a report to the Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku, who was on his pastoral visit at St. Andrew’s Busara Church of Uganda.
Rev. Manimake stressed that despite the parents’ efforts to support the school through paying the dues for their learners, the institution was still grappling with low incomes especially during the worst performing crop harvesting seasons, prompting them to default.
The Church Minister observed that if Busara High Hills Secondary School was taken up by the government, it would help in securing salaries for the staff and other development projects.
Responding to the Vicar’s report, Bishop Baluku revealed that he was following up the matter, adding that Busara High Hills Secondary School was among the institutions of learning whose names had been submitted to the government through the Ministry of Education and Sports for grant-aiding pending approval.
