Retired Bishop calls on religious leaders to unite

Retired Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Zebedee Kahangwa Masereka has called on the religious leaders from the different denominations in Kasese District to unite in their mission to spread the Word of God.

Speaking yesterday at the closure of the Annual General Meeting of the Bible Society of Uganda, Rwenzori Branch that was held at Virina Gardens in Kasese Town, Bishop Masereka emphasized that unity among the church leaders would enable them reach more people in the need of salvation.

According to him, if the leaders unite, cooperate and work as a team, it would be easy for them to reach a wider number of people.

The Man of God noted that importance of having inter-denominational cooperation which according to him would help the religious leaders to achieve common spiritual goals.

Earlier, the General Secretary of the Bible Society of Uganda, Mr. Peter SSerumaga Lumbuya had courted church leaders to encourage the Christians to buy bibles, saying that they were currently facing a challenge of competition with other companies who use the same materials used to make bibles especially the cigerate companies.
