Christians urged to always be patient in their prayers

Rev. Fr. Peter Basaliza Mubunga, Parish Priest for Kitswamba Catholic Parish in the Diocese of Kasese has urged Christians to always be patient in their prayers and trust in God’s perfect timing.

He was today speaking during an Annual General Meeting of the Bible Society of Uganda, Rwenzori Branch that was held at Virina Gardens in Kasese Town.

Rev. Fr. Mubunga emphasized that God’s timing was the best as drawn from the Biblical Book of Ecclesiastes 3:11.

Speaking under the theme, “In His Time, He Makes Everything Beautiful,” the Church Minister, encouraged the participants to trust in God’s plan and timing.

He explained that their vision was to have people fully qualified and equipped by the Word of God to do every kind of good deeds.

On how the community can fully embrace learning and understand the local languages, Eunice Mutooro, the Chairperson Bible Society Women’s League Kasese, encouraged the church denominations with Nursery and Primary Schools to always ask the teachers to have lessons in the local languages as a way of allowing the children grow up while knowing how to read and write their mother languages.

Ms. Susan Kabakondere, the Branch Administrator narrated how the Bible translation work in Lhuyira language had reached 50%, adding that they were done with the New Testament, awaiting printing.
