The Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has challenged Christians to always emulate the character of Jesus Christ who according to him did good things amidst the harsh criticism from the public.
The Bishop sounded the challenge today while preaching to the congregation that had thronged St. John’s Nyabugando Church of Uganda in Lhubiriha Archdeaconry where he confirmed 46 Christians into the Anglican faith.
Quoting the Biblical Book of Luke 13:10-17, the Bishop appealed to the Christians to always ignore the critics and continue doing the good deeds that reflect the glory of God.
The Prelate courted the mission coordinators in their respective churches to intensify the gospel of healing and deliverance as a means of fighting against some demonic attacks.
In a parish report that was read to the Bishop by Rev. Simeho B. Kabaka who represented the Vicar, Rev. Moses Kalibukuthu, the church leadership decried the high-water bills, requesting the Prelate to lobby for them water harvesting tanks.
