Employees cautioned against the use of witchcraft to protect their jobs

The Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has cautioned employees against the practice of using witchcraft to protect their jobs.

Bishop Baluku sounded the caution today while preaching to the congregation that had thronged Kagando School of Nursing and Midwifery and Kagando School of Allied Sciences for a confirmation service that saw 71 Christians confirmed into the Anglican faith.

The confirmants were from a number of institutions including Saad Memorial Secondary School – Kiburara, Kagando Primary School and others from the KARUDEC community.

Preaching under the theme, “The Danger of Turning Back from Jesus Christ,” the Bishop revealed that it was a bad practice for any employee to think of using witchcraft as something to help them protect their jobs, arguing that the act promotes evil.

He instead advised that jobs could be protected through hard work and discipline that pave way for an employee to be upraised and promoted.

To the learners, the Bishop discouraged them from working contrary to the aims and objectives as to why they are in schools.

He thus warned them to desist from engaging in sexual relationships while in schools, saying they negatively affect their performance.

Mr. Vincent Bwambale, the Patron for the Christian Community at Saad Memorial Secondary School – Kiburara applauded the Bishop for the idea of establishing chaplaincies in schools, adding that 75% of the learners at his school belong to the Christian Community and they often carry out some fellowships.
