The Executive Director at Uganda Youth Forum Mr Mr. Leonard Imanishimwe has re-emphasized the need for the people of Kasese to embrace a savings culture.
Mr Imanishimwe notes that while it is essentially true that many people find saving quite difficult, adhering to a strict financial discipline can enable them make their financial savings with ease.
According to Imanishimwe, joining village savings and lending associations can go a long way to ensure compliance to savings but also allow for one to benefit from the various government programmes.
The message was delivered today by his assistant Mr. Neckson Thaheramboko who represented him as the chief guest at Kasese District Women in Development SACCO annual general meeting that was held at Rock primary school in Kasese Municipality, where he donated 500,000shs to the SACCO.
Mr. Francis Onyango the Branch Manager Pride Microfinance Kasese Branch advised the SACCO leadership to observe transparency if the Sacco is to register growth and sustainability. ENDS.
