Bishop Nason Baluku Tips Christians on Reconciliation

BY OBED KULE KITHENDE

The Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese has courted believers to embrace forgiveness and reconciliation as an effective way to resolve their differences.

Rt Rev Nason Baluku, there are several problems within the community which can easily be solved if people exercise forgiveness and reconciliation and discard revenge which he said instead sows more seeds of discord among the people.

The prelate made the remarks yesterday at St. Stephens Kikyo Church of Uganda in Bwera archdeaconry, where he had gone for a pastoral visit.

He was accompanied by Rev. Preston Colangelo; a priest from St. Peters Anglican Cathedral in United States of America, who cautioned believers against vengeance which he said, has potential to lead the world into a spiral of violence.

Rev Preston opined that as human beings, people are bound to commit mistakes and wrong one another explaining that what is very important is to reconcile with one another. He quoted the biblical book of Genesis1:38-39, where he noted that forgiveness is a practical way to spread the word of God.

Rev. Canon Misaki Bulemu the archdeacon at Bwera Archdeaconry hailed the bishop for championing development programmes within the diocese.
