Mr. Henry Kabiriri, the Assistant RDC for Kasese District in-charge of Busongora has advised political leaders across the district to work towards ensuring that their voters get out of absolute poverty.
He sounded the advice last evening while addressing members of the district council during their sitting at Kasese Youth Polytechnic in Nyamwamba Division, Kasese Municipality.
Kabiriri explained that the councilors need to sensitize the masses about the need to embrace the idea of socio-economic transformation in order for them to live improved lives.
According to him, the elected leaders should develop a desire of leading people who are not poor in their respective areas.
The President’s Representative in the district also urged councilors to mobilize investors to operate within the district so as to enhance employment opportunities to the residents.
He emphasized that investments not only create jobs but also pave for development of the entire region.
