Voters welcome Walk to Voter election campaign in Kasese Municipality

BY JOACKIM KULE

Voters in Kamaiba Ward of the Central Division of Kasese Municipality have welcomed a new campaign approach by Francis Mugisa Kithulha, one of the Kasese Municipality Parliamentary candidates for the 2026 General elections.

Kithulha’s general elections’ campaign which was launched today morning in Kamaiba Ward was designed differently from the usual rallies because it involved walking to the homes and businesses of the voters while soliciting for votes.

Speaking to Messiah Radio in an exclusive interview, Lydia Kabagenyi who operates a business from Kilembe Quarters, noted that the approach used by Mr. Kithulha would enable him have enough time to interact with the voters directly and sharing with him their issues that they need him to front before the floor of parliament.

According to her, public rallies sometimes do not give voters a platform to share and understand the programs that their candidates have for them unless they meet, interact and come to a consensus.

Other voters noted that they would accord him support since his walking from home-to-home signified commitment and love he has for the electorate towards working for them.

Francis Kithulha, who is an independent candidate in the race, appealed to the people to elect him so that he lobbies for lasting developmental projects.

He noted that he was committed to addressing the issues related to flooding, school dropouts, talent promotion, poor health, socio-economic challenges, and food insecurity among others.
