BY ZALIMON BASIGHALHA (GOOD LUCK)

Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga Kiime, the State Minister for ICT and National Guidance has officially started his political consultative meetings for the Bukonzo County West Parliamentary seat ahead of the 2026 general elections.

On December 14, 2023, Hon. Kabbyanga declared his intention to contest for the said seat on the NRM ticket with an objective of representing and connecting the constituents to the Central Government for better service delivery.

Today morning, the Minister held a consultative meeting with the area NRM cadres at Bwera Secondary School who unanimously endorsed his candidature and pledged to rally behind him both in the party primary elections and the subsequent general elections.

He also used the same platform to encourage whoever has a vision to contest on the same seat especially the youth not to develop fear but to declare their intentions without any form of intimidation from other people.

Hon. Kabbyanga, however, asked the people who might intend to contest in the party primary elections to avoid politics of hatred and propaganda against their competitors.

Speaking to the press shortly after the meeting, Mr. Peter Sunday Kakule, the Nyakiyumbu Sub-county Chairperson and Moses Tsutsu for Isango Sub-county, described Kabbyanga’s declaration as timely, adding that ever since he was made a Minister in 2021, he has done a lot to the people in the constituency.
