St. Paul’s Vocational Secondary School in the Central Division of Kasese Municipality has been selected to host next year’s National Music, Dance and Drama competitions.
The revelation was made today by the Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku while addressing a delegation from St. Peter’s Cathedral in Tallahassee, Florida, USA who had visited the institution to meet the 38 students that they pay school fees for as well as blessing a multipurpose hall that was recently constructed at the school with funding from them.
The Bishop told the delegation that the population increase at the institution requires more buildings to be constructed to cater for the learners who come seeking educational services at the school.
He also observed that hosting the National Music, Dance and Drama competitions would bring more pressure on the existing structures; hence a need to have more buildings constructed before the event takes place.
Mr. Jockus Masereka, the Head teacher at St. Paul’s Vocational Secondary School commended the delegation for the donation that enabled the construction of a multipurpose building that hosts the school chapel and debate among others.
Rev. Can. Fr. Herb Bailey, the Head of the delegation applauded the Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese for empowering young people through emphasizing education and ensuring that they live changed lives.
He also asked the students to continue praying for them so that they dream big towards helping the institution.
