South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop commends President Museveni for the peace and stability in 2025

The South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has commended President Yoweri Museveni for the peace and stability that the country has enjoyed in the year 2025.

Bishop Baluku sounded the remarks today in his Christmas message that he delivered at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Kasese town during a Christmas carol service.

The Prelate explained that the country’s unity and peace were as a result of the leadership of the National Resistance Movement and her policies.

He therefore implored the Christians to become ambassadors of peace, unity and reconciliation as they prepare to celebrate the Christmas festive season.

To the Diocesan employees from the different departments, the Bishop asked them to embrace teamwork as a tool that aid them deliver services to the community.  

The Man of God told the congregation that come 2026, his office would support the health sector through ensuring that Rwesande Health Centre IV becomes a hospital and Nyabugando Health Centre III becomes a Health Centre IV in order to extend better services to the community members.

In his preaching, Rev. Can. Nelson Walina, the outgoing Diocesan Secretary, asked the Diocesan workers to always reflect on Isiah 9:7-8 that talks about Jesus Christ as a future ruler who will reign with justice and peace forever.  

In his welcoming remarks to the Christinas, Ven. Robert Ziwa, the Sub-dean at St. Paul’s Cathedral, asked the community members to employ a high level of discipline and work for peace as the country nears the 2026 General Elections.
