The Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has appealed to the men who have abandoned the church to come back to their respective places of worship.
The Prelate sounded the appeal yesterday while addressing the congregation that had thronged St. Mathew’s Ibanda Church of Uganda Parish for a confirmation service that left 135 Christians confirmed into the Anglican faith.
In his address to the congregation, the Bishop observed that some men had deliberately decided to abandon the church activities for women, stressing that the act affects the growth and development of the church.

The Man of God attributed the disappearance of men from the church to inferiority complex that results from their sinful acts that they are engaged in, asking them to come back to the church for God’s mercy.

Earlier in his sermon, the Bishop had discouraged the Christians from making any revenge against their fellows. He urged the Church leaders to instead embark on organizing fellowships and crusades that would help the people with evil intentions to receive salvation.

His remarks, Mr. Johnson Basolene, the Head of Laity for Ibanda Parish decried the challenge of false accusations levied against the church leaders that are aimed at tarnishing their names and in turn demoralize them from doing God’s work effectively.
