Security tightened a head of the president’s visit to Kasese

Security has been tightened in Kasese district ahead of the first ever thanksgiving ceremony of the two Ministers of State.

General Wilson Mbasu Mbadi, the Minister of State for Trade and Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga, the Minister of State for National Guidance are returning thanks to God and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for their recent appointments in the Ugandan Cabinet and for the good service delivery across the entire district.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to officiate at the ceremony that will be held on November 30 at Kaguta Grounds in Nyakatonzi Sub-county.

Addressing a gathering at the said venue in Isaazi Village, Nyamughana Parish during a security event preparation meeting, the Kasese Resident District Commissioner, Lt. Joe Walusimbi revealed that security had been tightened for the success of the function.

Lt. Walusimbi also said that the security of the area was reading normal and calm. He, however, urged the locals to be more vigilant as they come to applaud President Museveni for the good things he has done for the people of Kasese.

Speaking to the press shortly after the meeting, Mr. Eliphaz Muhindi Bukombi, the District Chairperson, noted that the community has a reason to thank the President including employing and appointing sons and daughters from Kasese in different positions at local and international levels, improving health services and roads and others.

Mr. Stephen Mbeera, the Nyakatonzi Sub-county said they were more than ready to host the Head of State and requested the business community to use the event as an opportunity to make money out of it.
