Residents of Kitswamba decry insufficient social services

Residents of Bigando in Kitswamba Sub-county, Busongora County North in Kasese district have expressed concern over insufficient health care services in the area.

The concerned residents sounded their remarks yesterday while speaking to our reporter in an exclusive interview at Bigando Trading Centre.

Mr. Johnson Binji, one of the concerned residents said the lack of essential services including healthcare, education and infrastructure has left community members feel isolated and vulnerable.

He also emphasized the need for the establishment of a hospital in the area, appealing to the government to intervene into the matter.

Mr. Yosamu Kule Ngurutsu, another resident observed the need for improving the road infrastructure as a means of boosting the economic activities in the area.

Mr. Misairi Maate also reported that the area lacks safe and clean drinking water, something that puts their lives at a risk of contracting diseases like cholera and typhoid among others.
